Crossbow History and Concept

Most historians agree that the crossbow was invented in China as an advanced bow at or around 678 BC. The concept for its invention was to be able to have a ready weapon at all times. The conventional bow could not be held at the ready while moving. The reason for this is that conventional bows when drawn have 100% holding weight. This means that if the draw weight is 100 lbs then so is the holding weight. Do you think even well trained soldiers could hold 100 lbs and move through obstacles? The reason it was invented was to bring an end to the constant warring of the Chinese Empires. How well it worked is a mystery to most scholars. The earliest record of crossbows used in warfare was during the Han Dynasty at the battle of Ma-Ling. Also, Emperor Quin Shi Huang’s tomb shows that the Terracotta Army used crossbows as well. Later on the Chinese developed a repeating or reloading crossbow to make a single soldier even more deadly.
The concept to crossbows are quite simple. The earliest crossbows were nothing more than a conventional bow with a stock and trigger on it. The invention of the crossbow combined with a mechanical way to draw it made a soldier very dangerous. Suddenly a soldier with a bow pull strength of 100 lbs could easily pull a crossbow of 250 lbs. Not to mention, he could have it ready indefinitely making him much more efficient. Until the invention of the rifle, the crossbow was used to penetrate knights armor at shorter ranges. Even after the invention of the rifle, the crossbow was still useful, effective and used widely in combat.
Today, the interest in crossbows (and catapults) is still very common. Of course, modern crossbows are used mainly for hunting. Collectors look for other variations but crossbows are most commonly used to hunt. The reason people hunt with crossbows is simply to make it a challenge! Also, the bow hunting season is usually longer! So, crossbows are fun and they have been around for a long, long time.

Blueprints help making catapults easy

When I was working as a project manager in an esteemed construction company, my company got a new assignment to construct a dam in the bank of a river surrounded by forest. The managing director of the company entrusted the task to me and asked me to start the work immediately. As the construction site was surrounded by forest, I decided to take some catapults with me so that the workers could play with that in their leisure time as there would not be any other entertainments available in that area. I collected catapult blueprints from my son who used to make catapults using those prints.
As recreations like watching movies or television was not available in that forest area and even mobile range was very low, all workers started playing catapult game and as I had taken only ten catapults with me, shortage for this device was very evident. When I noticed the shortage for this device, I gave the blueprints to make catapults to all workers and asked them to learn it by themselves. As the blueprints were very easy to learn, even uneducated workers also started learning to make their own catapults and they eventually succeeded in their effort and had good fun.

It was my youngest sister’s first birthday. She got so many gifts as it was her first birthday. I wanted to open all the gifts and see the lovely toys she had got. When I opened a rather big packet I found that it was a catapult that my sister’s friend Lohit had presented. My sister found it very captivating and liked it a lot, but she did not know how to use it and my father taught her how to play with it and I played with my sister, but one fine day it broke and my sister burst into tears saying she wanted another catapult to play.
My father was very irritated with us, but then he referred online to see if he could find something interesting and then he found this site on easy to build catapults and comforted my sister saying that he would make one for her. After one week, my father took some spare time off work and at last the catapults were ready to play. My sister played with them as much as she could and was very happy. My father then told her never to cry if the catapults get spoiled anymore, but he would build them for her.

When you have decided that you are going to build catapults on your own, you have the opportunity to choose the hardest and the easiest. The more adventurous people would probably choose the toughest taking it as a challenge and those people usually come out with flying colors. There are different building techniques, but if you use your head appropriately, you would be able to do the catapults by yourself and children usually like to play with catapults and enjoy themselves and when they actually see the catapults, then this game would be their favorite pass time and they would spend more time on these outdoor activities rather than be glued to the television sets.
In the ancient these websites were not available, so nobody had the opportunity to learn much about time, but now as technology has advanced, you can get whatever you want and there is absolutely nothing which you cannot get. There are different sites on various weapons too and you choose that also, which you really like and choose from there. There are so many medieval designs for building catapults and if you build many, then when you starting using those, you would have many to play with and that would be terrific.

My son one day went to John’s to play and when he came back, he told me that John’s father bought a catapult for him and it was such an exciting game that he wanted one as his own. I asked him to find out from John from where he purchased it and he immediately went to his house and got the name of the store it was purchased. I then told my son that I would get it for him the next day. The next day he kept waiting for me until I came from office and I finally purchased the catapults, but they proved to be very expensive.
When I told my friend about this, he suggested me to refer this website and when I browsed the internet, I found that this site had free plans to build a catapult and the different materials used to build catapults. I then told my son that I would make them for him and never to pester me again. At last, I made them for my son and he was finally satisfied that he could get catapults whenever he wanted as the materials for making them were less expensive and can be done by ourselves.

Environment is a very important thing and only if the environment is clean and unpolluted, our future will be good and bright. When my wife first told me that she wanted a chicken coop to prevent diseases and also because she needed a hobby, I thought that I could build it myself and I was checking on the materials and looking for some plans to build the coop when I chanced upon this website. Catapults have been in use for centuries for different purposes. At first, it was a weapon used by many in ancient times. It was possibly one among the most medieval weapons created by man. The catapult is made of a stick or wood that is shaped like the letter ‘Y’. There is also an elastic band that is used to hurl small objects. It is mostly used to launch stones. In the ancient wars, catapults and trebuchets were used to throw stones at opponents but the funny part is that you wouldn’t know even if you hit on somebody who is on your side.
In recent times, the catapult is used by small kids to throw stones at birds or fruits on trees. It is quite fun to watch people using them and more fun to play with it. It is also quite easy to make these catapults and all you need to understand is the mechanism of the catapult to make a functioning one. There are many other weapons that are similar to the catapults like trebuchets, crossbows and such launchers that have the same properties. And it is quite easy to make all of them if you just search on the internet and learn the mechanisms.

When you do something or build something by yourself, you will have a certain satisfaction that you have accomplished something. It is a special feeling indeed and that is why I asked my wife to build the chicken coop, she requested me to build, all by herself. I gave her enough guidance by telling her to refer the diy chicken coops website and also got her the necessary books that she would need to know more about the coops. She was not very interested at first but later she consented and started working on it after she took a look at the website.

While I was serving as an army major protecting the boundary or frontier of my nation, my battalion had some sort of problems regarding food especially regarding chicken. Some of the chicken served there was not up to the standard and the cook started complaining about this. When the matter came to my notice, I decided to start a medium scale chicken coop in a vacant area near our camp and collected easy chicken coop plans from a people oriented website and handed over the plans to one of my subordinates to start the coop.
When the news of starting a chicken coop spread in the camp, all servicemen became joyful as they could eat fresh chicken and eggs from then onwards. I told them that junk foods are always harmful to their health and advised them to avoid such foods to keep their health perfectly and that was very important to protect the nation. Even though my aim was to take a class on the topic of chicken coops, my speech or communication to my subordinates was mainly centered on health related subjects.
